Thank You for Your Support
The members of the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank all of our neighbors for donating lunch yesterday.
Due to the pandemic, we have “closed” the firehouse to lessen the likelihood that our members would contract the virus and spread it amongst each other. THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE CLOSED – this just means that all members are responding from home and go on the call and then quickly leave the firehouse without congregating after returning from the alarm.
As appreciative and thankful as we are for any food donations, you can understand that consumption of food is difficult to manage in this environment as we all practice social distancing and are trying to stay at home as much as possible. As such we ask that any food donations get sent to the local hospitals to support the doctors, nurses and support staff’s tireless efforts or any other needy charity that the community would like to support.
Our firefighters and EMS personnel are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community during these challenging times. We appreciate your support now and always. We stand ready to serve our neighbors. Please stay safe and healthy.
